Corrosion is often the reason for damaged components. Besides visible cracks and holes on the surface, serious internal material damage and embrittlement can quickly become a risk to the entire process. In particular hazardous to health, flammable or explosive media can cause serious problems if leaks occur. Therefore, all used materials must have suitable corrosion resistance.

Properties:
Very high ductility, low wear, food safe.

Resistance:
Exceptional resistance to high and low temperatures, without significant deformation, resistant to, for example:

  • Animal and vegetable oils and fats
  • Ozone, aging and weather resistant

Not suitable for e.g. acids and alkalis, silicone oils and greases, water vapor above 120°C

Properties:
Good mechanical properties, high abrasion resistance and stability, partially gas-tight.

Excellent resistance to aliphatic hydrocarbons such as propane, butane, gasoline, mineral oils and greases, diesel fuels as well as fuel oil, silicone oils and silicone grease, many dilute acids, bases, salt solutions and alkalis. Partially resistant to ozone and weathering.

FKM/ Viton® (Fluororubber)

Properties:
Very good mechanical values, aging resistant, gas tight.

Resistance:
Exceptional resistance to mineral oils and greases, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, acids, weak alkalis, synthetic hydraulic fluids, fuels, mineral oils, aromatics and many organic solvents and chemicals resistant, very good temperature resistance. Very good ozone, weather and aging resistance.

Not resistant to mineral oil products.

Properties:

Above-average resistance to acids and alkalis, animal and vegetable oils and fats, salt solutions. Not resistant to mineral oils and greases, gasoline and aliphatic, aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons.

FEPM is a modified fluororubber, with very good resistance to a wide range of specific media and chemicals.

Gate/ Swing Gate

As standard, we use stainless steels for our slide/swing gate and flap klaps. Due to their good corrosion resistance, they have proven themselves in most applications. For special requirements, such as poorly flowing or aggressive media, adaptation is possible by means of an appropriate coating or surface treatment.

Our extensive spare parts warehouse contains the spare parts for all components and systems supplied by Schütte Industrieservice and Edelhoff Polytechnik to our customers since 1964.

In addition, we can offer you our installation team on request. These qualified members of our team repair and maintain your equipment mechanically and electrically. Either on request or regularly as part of a concluded maintenance contract.

All values and properties specified here are to be understood as guide values. Each application is subject to different operational environmental influences and must therefore be taken into account when selecting materials. Resistances are influenced, for example, by excessive temperatures, high concentrations of the medium, mechanical stresses or extreme weather conditions. Therefore, we cannot give any guarantee for the stated values.
