The double cone valve is a special design with a structural adaptation of the DFG-FH double flap valve.<\/p>\n
Instead of the usual flap gates, two alternately opening cones are fitted in the housing of the double cone valve. The advantage of this design is the highly reliable sealing of difficult bulk materials in differential pressures.<\/p>\n
It was developed for dust discharge from the centrifugal cyclone of a sintering plant, an environment with a high dust load. The medium is highly abrasive sintered ash, which requires specific material adaptation of the contacted parts.<\/p>\n
Cone and seat are cast from NiHard, with a minimum hardness of 620 Brinell. The fully enclosed housing of welded construction ensures gas- and dust-tight discharge to atmosphere. For optimum operational monitoring and maintenance, the double cone valve has large inspection openings.<\/p>\n
The electropneumatic actuator is equipped with an inductive limit switch in the closed position of the cone.<\/p>\n
